10 Things that You Can Pull Off This Winter

Tired of the same old outfit every day? Want to be the trendsetter at your school or work? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, then you’re in the right place! Keep on reading if you’re into the latest fashion trends for winter.

Midi Coat

Not only will the below-the-knee topper keep you warm through the cold winter, but it will also elevate your favorite jeans-and-sweater outfit and give you coverage over a dress.

Lace Up Ankle Boots

Add a pair of '90s-inspired lace-up combat boots to your ankle-boot deadly and sassy. Lace up combat boots keep the rugged, tough feel of the silhouette but give you all-around ability to wear with jeans, tapered trousers, a floppy printed dress, or winter shorts and tights.

Sweater

Yes, every fashion editor is obsessed with the fisherman sweater. The cable knit works with everything from boyfriend jeans, to a button-down and tailored pants, and a pleated, feminine skirt. This sweater will be one of the most common trends you’ll see this summer.

Midi Dress

Just because it’s freezing cold outside doesn't mean you should let go of your cute printed dresses this season. Just pick one with long sleeves and a midi-length hemline to give more coverage and keep warm.

Leather trousers

You already have your rocker-style leather (or vegan-leather) leggings to pair with a boyfriend sweater or sweatshirt.

Wide Brim Hat

Gigi Burris predicted that dramatic wide-brim hats would be hot for the season, so put your beanies away this winter. The style works just as well at a night on the town, as it does at a weekend brunch.

Black Turtleneck

This season hails the return of the classic, cozy shirt that not only keeps us warm, but is also an easy layering piece to wear on its own or bundled under a wooly, cropped jacket or flannel shirt.

Knee-high Boots

Tall boots give us extra coverage to keep us warm in the winter. If you wear them with tights and a longish pencil skirt, knee-high boots are office-appropriate. Plus, the height is a perfect compromise for those times you're feeling a little sassy and want to show your risky side.

Patchwork jeans

I personally would never even glance at these because I don’t really like the way they look. If you can pull them off, go you! Wear your denim with a twist with patchwork details. You can go all out with colorful patches or go the more delicate way, and get some with various shades of washes. Pair them with anything from a blazer to your sweatshirt.

These are all optional, of course, so you choose what fashion trend you want to wear this winter. I can’t personally pull any of these off, so I won’t be seen wearing any of these latest 2016 trends. Get out there and try these trends out! Maybe you’ll be the next trendsetter!
