Our world is full of things that trigger stress and anxiety. These triggers can make it difficult to get through the day with a genuine smile. This makes life hard to handle, but that should not be the way it goes. Life should be simple, fun, and full of happiness. There are plenty ways to relieve stress and anxiety, here are some of the simplest ways to do so:

  • Exercise – Whenever things get a little too tough to handle, try going on a short walk, jog, or run. People who exercise more are less likely to experience stress and anxiety than those who don’t exercise. Exercise can improve sleep quality, boost confidence, and lower stress hormones.

  • Reduce Caffeine Intake – High doses of caffeine can increase stress levels. Coffee can be healthy but only in moderation. You don’t have to stop caffeine intake, but it is beneficial to reduce intake.

  • Write it Down – Writing out your thoughts and feelings helps you prevent stress build-up from keeping everything inside. Try writing down everything that is stressing you out, and then write down everything you are grateful for at the moment.

  • Journaling is a very good way to express your feelings. Whether it be a writing journal, bullet journal, or a full-on design journal, it will make you feel much better when you can see what you feel. Seeing what you feel gives you more

power over your thoughts and feelings, and this helps you gain more control.

  • Chew Gum – This is a quick and easy stress reliever. Chewing gum improves blood flow to your brain, promotes well-being, and creates brain waves of a more relaxed person.

  • Spend Time with People – Spending time with others gives a feeling of self-worth and a sense of belonging. Try getting out more and spend time with others, possibly even make new friends. Laughing with others is good for the soul. Laughing relaxes muscles, improves your mood, and can even boost your immune system.

  • Cuddle – Whether your cuddle buddy is human or a furry friend, cuddling is another quick and simple stress reliever. Positive physical contact releases Oxycontin which lowers blood

pressure and heart rate, and those are strongly connected to stress and anxiety levels. Try grabbing your spouse or even your dog and take a few minutes to cuddle.

  • Listen to Music – Try putting a playlist of your favorite songs on shuffle and take some time to lay down and just listen.

Stress and anxiety are silent killers that you are never prepared for. Although you cannot avoid being stressed or anxious, relieving the symptoms can be very simple. Obviously, there are plenty more ways to simplify your life, but I hope you enjoyed some of my personal favorites.
