6 Stunning Homecoming Trends You Don't Want to Miss Out on This Year!

1. Open Strappy Backs
This trend really picked up in 2017 and has kept in style since! For a more modern look- less is more. These thin straps pictured above create a look of elegance and daintiness. This trend is perfect for anyone looking for a simple, yet exciting dress.
2. Metallics & Sequins
This trend has a very outgoing vibe to it. The metallic trend (pictured on the right) seems to be a new trend emerging this year and sold in a wide selection of shapes and styles. The sequin trend is also very popular and, in my opinion, sends out a fun party type feel to it!
3. Strapless & One shoulder
These styles are unique and elegant. The one-shoulder look is fairly new, creating a very modern look. These dresses pair well with a gathered hairstyle (like a braid or ponytail, this helps to balance and create symmetry.
4. Silk & Satin
Silk and satin dresses have always been a staple when it comes to formal attire. However, these styles have put a twist on the fabric, creating a modern unique shape. The blush dress (pictured on the left), has a gathered neck with very thin straps; looking very elegant and classy.
5. Dainty Details
The trend of dainty details is by far one of my favorites. This trend is broad and a little vague but overall can add a lot of detail and interest to a dress. To point out a few: little ruffles (right), lace sleeves (left), lace detailing (middle), etc. Basically, any element that would add interest to a dress would be considered a dainty detail.
6. Wrap Dresses
Last but certainly not least, wrap dresses. Wrap dresses are super in style and probably the most popular type of dress out right now. They come in a huge selection of colors, fabrics, and have very many varying details.
