Current fashion trends can look different to everyone. Recently, red has been making a major comeback in modern style. There are new color-ways resurfacing into street-style fashions, like yellows, reds, blacks and whites. These colors are sometimes used in a monochromatic outfit scheme, or as a statement piece in a simple outfit, for example a red tube top with a black skirt or plain pants. There are also many interesting patterns and textures returning to the current modern style world like patent leather, patches on denim, and checkerboard prints. Big statements to an outfit like these can be used with a simple look to amp it up. For example, patent leather skirts have been commonly worn in red and black, with a square-neckline cami or bodysuit. As far as accessories go, solid colors such as; again, white, black, red and yellow have been appearing alongside outfits. Sunglasses have been very sufficient in holding their place as the star of many outfits. White, round sunglasses, commonly recognized as ‘Kurt Cobain’ sunglasses, and even more recently known as ‘Clout Goggles’ have been accompanying outfits with red as the theme. They give off a vintage, retro appeal which have been worn on the streets. Jewelry in these kind of outfits have often been gold, and simple. For example, solid gold chains that are more dainty and subtle have seemingly replaced previous years’ trends of flashy, bejeweled statement necklaces that could distract from an outfit. Earrings that have been more recently seen with outfits, have been hoops. All kinds of sizes and shapes are a great Segway from piece to piece in an outfit. They bring back the 90’s feeling, and are simple yet make a statement. As far as denim goes, less tight, more baggy, “boyfriend” style jeans have been a good addition to casual and dressier outfits. You can dress up a simple pair of denim with the street-style look with dainty jewelry, a bright colored top, and sneakers. Now that we’ve come to sneakers and shoes, Vans have always been popular throughout the decades, but more recently they have been seen at the bottoms of several different outfits. They can be paired with a graphic tee for a casual look, or even with a dress for something more interesting. This trendy, street-inspired fashion has been the star of the show lately, and it will surely stick around for a little bit longer.
