Not Just a Shoe Brand

What do you think of when you see someone wearing a pair of vans? Vans was founded on March 16th, 1966 and from then on they have been creating and evolving the shoe industry for years. Most of the time when people think about vans, they view it as more of a casual shoe. But the Vans brand is so much more than that. They create shoes for a variety of sports including skating, surfing, snow sports, and BMX riding. Each of these different sports has its own tab on www.Vans.com, where you can view the different products, Meet the Vans team, and even get updates on news involving that specific sport. This is a way to get people around the world involved and interested in the Vans brand, not just the shoes. Not only is the Vans brand coming out with awesome styles, they are also coming out with awesome new skate parks for kids around the world. This creates a way for them to stay active and find a way to escape the hardships in their lives. So far Vans has brought skate parks to kids in India and Sweden where they are teaching young kids more than just how to skate and going against societal norms (more on www.Vans.com). The Vans brand is going out of their way to create more than just shoes for people around the world. They want to create a culture where people are involved and enjoying the things they do in life, whether that’s a certain sport, a hobby, or something you are interested in. Vans is always coming out with new collections for people with a variety of different personalities. For example, they recently came out with a Marvel Collection, and a limited time Disney collection. You can even customize your own perfect pair of vans to match your personality. Next time you see a person wearing a pair of vans, think a little deeper and you will find out that a pair of vans isn’t just shoes. It’s a mission to involve the rest of the world for the better, and give you your own little sneak peak of someone’s personality or interests.
